Connected scripts only cut cleanly if the overlaps between letters are unioned away first — otherwise the blade traces every internal seam. The weld-contours option does that union before export, which is the single biggest difference between a cut file that works and one that shreds.

SVG for Cricut Design Space, Silhouette Studio, Brother CanvasWorkspace and Inkscape-based workflows. HPGL (.plt) for Roland and Graphtec cutters and for older controllers that expect plotter units directly.
Any typeface, including your own
The catalog holds 1,900+ open-source families, so you can pick a face without hunting for a download or installing anything. A licensed font you already own can be uploaded as TTF or OTF instead — it is read in the browser and never sent anywhere.

- Why does my script text cut with lines through it?
- The letters overlap and were never welded, so the blade cuts each seam. Enable weld contours before exporting and the word becomes one outline.
- Does Cricut Design Space import this SVG?
- Yes. The SVG contains path geometry rather than a text element, which is exactly what Design Space wants — nothing to substitute, nothing to install.
- How do I set the cut size?
- Set it in your cutting software after import; the SVG carries proportional geometry. If you would rather fix the physical size in the file, export DXF, which declares its unit.
